From February 23 to February 26, I went to Ottawa to participate in a Model North Atlantic Treaty Organization event. This weekend in Ottawa was extremely rich! We started with a private tour of the Senate, in the building that formerly housed the city's central train station until 1966. Then, as the event started, we had the opportunity to attend a conference with a panel of experts who discussed the major contemporary geopolitical issues, followed by a networking cocktail that allowed us to personally exchange with these professionals. But that's not all, we had the great opportunity to visit the Danish and American embassies in downtown Ottawa and have privileged exchanges with members of these embassies! It was extremely rewarding but also quite impressive. I have to say that it is this kind of meeting that confirms, even more, my will to orient myself toward political science and international relations. Finally, the core of this activity was of course the NATO committee simulations. I thus represented France in the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council. This was an opportunity to share skills and knowledge of NATO issues with other students in debates and the drafting of resolutions. You can find my position papers on 3 of these issues in the research paper section of my website. A big thank you to Mr. Mitrasca to have offered us this opportunity and to have accompanied us throughout this stay strong in emotions! And also a big thank you to all the people with whom I shared this experience!
